This is a demo site for a product still in review, so there is no working install button to give you — and a button that did nothing would be worse than saying so. The steps below are what installing will look like. Leave an address and you will hear once, on the day it ships.
This demo has no backend. Nothing you type here is stored or sent anywhere — which is, admittedly, on brand.

One click from the listing. Chrome downloads it and asks you to confirm.
Read the permission prompt, because it is a big one
Chrome will say Artkive can read and change all your data on all websites. That is the real scope, and it is there so the side panel can capture whatever tab you are on.
What that access is actually used for: reading the page you are looking at, at the moment you click save. Nothing is read in the background. The script that runs on its own is limited to the seven supported platforms.
Pin it, and open the side panel
Pinning keeps the icon visible; the side panel is where the roster lives and stays open as you move between tabs.
Save your first artist
Open any ArtStation, Behance, Dribbble, Cara, The Rookies, Coroflot or Vimeo profile and hit save. The whole record lands in your roster — bio, skills, software, rate, availability and links.
First run holds nothing. An empty roster is the correct state on day one; it becomes useful at about artist fifteen, and indispensable around month four, when you need someone you have already forgotten finding.
Leaving is as easy as arriving.
A tool you cannot exit is a tool you should not enter.
The whole roster goes to JSON whenever you like. Re-importing merges by profile URL and keeps the tags and notes you added.
Right-click the icon, remove from Chrome. The local database goes with it — so export first if you want to keep it.
The optional Anthropic key lives in settings and deletes on request. Remove it and the one outbound path closes.

Is it free?
Yes, and it stays free. There is no paid tier, no trial and nothing to subscribe to.
Which sites does one-click capture work on?
ArtStation, Behance, Dribbble, Cara, The Rookies, Coroflot and Vimeo. Reference images and page bookmarks work on any page.
Why does it need access to every website?
The capture tools run from a side panel that stays open as you move between tabs, and Chrome’s per-click permission never reaches the tab you’re looking at from there. Granting it at install is what makes capture work first time.
Where does my data actually live?
In your browser’s local storage, on the machine you saved it from. Nothing syncs, because there is nothing to sync to.
Can I get my data back out?
Export the whole roster to JSON whenever you like. Re-importing merges by profile URL and keeps the tags and notes you added.
