Terra
A two-person animation shop that re-discovered the same freelancer four separate times, each time delighted.
Terra found a brilliant motion designer in March, lost her, found her again in July, lost her again, and greeted her portfolio in November like an old friend she had never met.
Each rediscovery came with the same small thrill and the same total absence of a phone number. Browser history had expired. The spreadsheet had died in week three, as spreadsheets do.
We wrote her down. Revolutionary stuff. Along with the other hundred and twenty people Terra had been meeting and forgetting on a loop.
Rates landed normalised, so quotes stopped being a currency-conversion puzzle. Notes recorded how far each conversation got, which meant the next project resumed a relationship instead of restarting one.
