Haddock
A food brand that briefed an illustrator, then briefed a different illustrator with the same brief, having lost the first.
Haddock sent a packaging brief, heard nothing for a fortnight, assumed the trail was cold, and started again — only for both illustrators to reply within the same hour.
Two proposals, two rates, one very awkward reply-all. There had been no system for recording who had been contacted or when, so contacted and not contacted looked identical from the outside.
The pipeline board now shows who is at which stage, which turns out to be the entire fix.
Selection, Contacted, Interview, Test Task, Signed. An artist sits in exactly one column, visible to everyone, so nobody re-briefs a live conversation. Both illustrators were eventually hired, for different lines.

A happy accident, once
Haddock is invented for this demo, and so is every figure above it.
